What are the properties of 316 Grade Stainless Steel?

316 Stainless Steel Banding is often referred to as Marine Grade Steel which withstands exposure to harsh weather, saltwater or sub-sea conditions. 316 Stainless Steel contains an addition of molybdenum (comparing to 304) that gives it improved corrosion resistance. This is particularly apparent for pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments.

Most often 316 Stainless Steel is used in food processing equipment, chemical and petrochemical equipment, chemical transportation containers etc…

Band-IT Band offers high strength fastening and clamping and can be formed to any diameter and shape.

Installs easily with the following tools: the Standard Banding Tool, the Heavy Duty Banding Tool (C00369), the Bantam Tool, the Bantam Strapping Tool and the Ratchet Tool.
