Sign Mounting Hardware

Have you ever been walking down the street and noticed street or road signs secured on lampposts and wondered how they got there? Here at Reid Brothers UK, we have the answer. We have a wide range of products that will suit a variety of sign applications. Whether it be a small sign on a lamppost or a large road sign on the motorway, we are your home for Sign Mounting Hardware.

The first question of the sign mounting process is what is the size of your application? The size predominantly determines which product we would recommend for you and your application. We have a full SureFast range of Sign Mounting products in a variety of shapes and sizes to suit all applications, but with one thing in common, they are manufactured to the highest quality to ensure a quick and easy application each time.

Our first and most obvious choice of what to use for sign mounts would be Stainless Steel Band and Buckles.

Stainless Steel Banding comes in 3 different grades for you to choose from, 201, 304 and 316, each with different qualities, however for sign mounting we would recommend using grade 201.

Grade 201 Stainless Steel Band is available in both a standard and giant version. Grade 201 is recommended for its durability and providing a reliable attachment with every application. It provides excellent resistance to high heat, weather and corrosion. Our 201 Giant Band is a heavy-duty version of the standard band and is available in 1” and 1 1/4”, allowing it to be used for more robust applications such as motorway signs. Whether it be the standard or giant version, Grade 201 is guaranteed to mount and secure your signs all year round.

Why not take a look at our stainless steel kit which includes all the goods that you need (roll of band, a box of buckles and a tool) to help you get your project up and running straight away!

Tamtorque proves to be another popular solution for mounting signs, it is adaptable and can work in several operations. Showing off its versatility, Tamtorque is available in 7 different sizes which allow it to adjust to a range of different size and shaped poles and posts. They are an innovative and reliable way of fixing signs around poles and prove to attract users through their high-security tendencies. They are tamperproof, only accepting unique screw bits which emphasise the guaranteed security even more. Tamtorque is also reusable, this function is what makes it most popular throughout the festive season for mounting Christmas Lights outdoors.

For a smaller application such as a mini sign being placed on a lamppost or fence, instead of using a full roll of strapping, you can save yourself money and use Stainless Steel Cable Ties. Stainless Steel Cable Ties are available in a variety of different lengths to suit the size of post that you are applying to. Coated and uncoated options are both available in both Ball Lock and Spring Type Cable Ties, both suited to different environmental factors. Stainless Steel Cable Ties provide resistance against corrosion, vibration, radiation and extreme temperatures, so if the weather is anything like UK weather these Cable Ties will do the job, they are suited to heavy rain and snow, and they can perform in -80 to +500 degrees. A quick and easy application, all you need to do is adjust the tension to how tight you want it to be.

For a range of other brackets and clamps for sign mounting, we have you covered, whether it be circular poles for bus stop signs at the side of lampposts, we’ve got an option for everything. L-Mount Brackets provide a different level of sign fixing to anti-rotational clips. There are no advantages or disadvantages over either, L-Mount brackets just provide a different angle which the sign can be facing. If you are looking to mount traffic signs, security devices or enclosures, then the 2 bolt bracket is your answer, they are already stronger as they have the 2 bolt bracket option and they can withstand stress, wind vibration and have specially designed reinforcement ribs. But if you are looking to mount bigger signs, such as road signs for motorways or roundabouts, then it is best to use anti-rotational clips. These clips are a strong and reliable way of securing signs to a circular post ranging from 60mm to 140mm wide, which also come included with SS bolts, washers and nuts, so you are guaranteed a robust and secure application.
