What are the advantages of using the Eye Slings instead of chains?
– Colour coded which makes identifying the breaking strain easy.
– Ability to be used in different environments, they are non-sparking so therefore safe for hazardous environments.
Our SureFast Eye Slings were manufactured to the highest standard, prioritising safety for each load. The SureFast range offers colour coded options which allow to identify different working load limits in kg.
- Purple Slings – Up to 1000kg
- Green Slings – Up to 2000kg
- Yellow Slings – Up to 3000kg
The SureFast Eye Slings, also known as web, duplex or lifting slings, are manufactured from polyester that is sewn in a particular way to produce the highest strength possible for every sling.
Due to the material properties of polyester, these eye slings are weather-resistant, meaning they can be used in different weather conditions. Lifting Slings can also be used in both corrosive and hazardous environments.
To ensure you get the correct webbing sling please be aware of the colour identification system that separates the different load limits. Each different colour signifies a different breaking strain as these eye slings are engineered to lift varying weights. Versatile, they can be used in either vertical, choke or basket lifting methods.
Ability to Use Different Lifting Techniques
MaintenanceThe maintenance and care of lifting slings is very important to ensure a safe working area and avoid any chance of injury. There are multiple checks that must be carried out before use. This involves looking for:
- Worn Eyes
- Distorted Fittings
- Broken Stitching
SureFast Round Slings are very light compared to steel chains, this makes them ideal for carrying around on different jobs, with the ability to be folded away easily to save space. Cost is another advantage of these round slings over other alternatives as they are extremely wear resistant.
Additionally, they are soft to touch and less likely to cause damage to any items being lifted. Safe to use, these Round Slings will not cause injuries to the user such as cuts caused by broken wires, manual handling strains or impact injuries, which may arise if using alternative methods like wire rope slings.
Lightweight does not mean weak. Due to their design and strong materials, these Round Slings are capable of lifting up to 5 tonnes using various techniques such as the Straight Pull, Choke Lift and the Basket Lift.
