About this tool
The SureFast SF1402 HD tool is both a tensioner and cutter in one, suited for 13-19mm plastic strapping. This high-quality tool is a must have for anyone who is looking for a reliable and long lasting tool for tensioning heavy items for shipping or storage. Ideal for strapping up large items like pallets/timber quickly, safely, and securely.
This tool is designed specifically to tension and cut the strap in a few simple steps. Firstly, the single handle of the tensioner adjusts and pulls the strap and once it is secured with buckles or seals, the strapping is then cut to release the tool from the system.
Can the SureFast SF1402 tool be used on vertical surfaces?
Yes, it can be seen as a high advantage when a strapping tool can be used on vertical surfaces. Some strapping tools can only be used on flat packed items, which is seen as a problem when you are dealing with taller pallets. However, the SF1402 will solve your problems as it is can be used on both vertical and horizontal surfaces.
Compatible Strapping with the SF1402 HD
Securing the items with buckles:
This method is a more preferred way of strapping up items as it only requires one tool and some reusable buckles.
The instructions are simple:
The strap is fed through the buckle and tensioned by hand. The SureFast SF1402 Strapping Tensioner Tool is then used to further tension the strapping. Once the desired system tension is reached, the SF1402 handle is then pushed down to cut the strap.
Securing the items with seals:
Seals can be used with both strapping tensioners like the SF1402 or combination tools. Both types of tools have their own advantages, but it is important to note that if a strapping tensioner is being used, then a sealer is required.
Once the seals and the compatible strapping are chosen:
The strapping tensioner would bring the strapping to tension, once the required level of tension has been applied a seal would be placed on the strap and a sealer would then be used to crimp it into place. To finish up the strapping process, the handle of the tool is pushed down to cut the strap and to then release the tool from the application.
